How To Hear True Wisdom Within Yourself

As humans we have a right to fully express our feelings. In fact, we MUST express our feelings for mental and emotional health. BUT as we express, let’s also transmute the energy behind our anger and fear into love and what we really want to create for our world. Be angry. Feel it. Notice how it shows up in your body. Listen to what it’s communicating to you, then act upon that wisdom.

True wisdom coming from within you (and/or our higher power should you believe in it) will guide you into action that is for our greater good. I can tell when true wisdom is speaking to me because it comes from my heart or belly space (not my head), and it comes after I have felt and expressed my feelings, when I am listening from a state of calm and good-enough-ness.

We must act when that true wisdom is delivered to us because:

1) If we don’t, the feeling will stay within us and turn into resentment or fear, create disease in our body, or numb us from the beauty and miracles of life — even allow atrocities to happen.

2) When we all act from this guided place of love and true wisdom, we change ourselves and we change our world. Some of us will be called to march, some to lobby, some to educate, some to write, some to question our family and friends, some to care for others. We all have unique gifts so will be guided to do our part in the best way we can contribute. But we must contribute. We must feel. We must be the change. ACTION VERB!

3) When we stay focused on what we can change, we will remain at peace, rather than fretting and being anxious about things outside our control.

When I feel my feelings and recognize they are not ones I want to send back out into the world, (ones like anger or fear) I practice this energetic tool I learned recently from Sandra Ingerman: I simply say to myself, “I need to express what I am feeling right now and I ask the energy behind this feeling to be transformed into an energy of love and light that feeds the entire earth and all of life.”

It’s like sending rose petals out into the world, rather than daggers.

We desperately need more rose petals right now.

With love and rose petals,
Sara
